Saracens can spend more than Racing, as there is no salary cap in the Heinekin

Well in that case please explain why Saracens have not been stripped of their European titles for exceeding the salary cap????

Because its not against EPCR's rules.

It's against the Premiership's rules. The Premiership's rules are that the salary cap applies to players registered in both the Premiership & Europe.

So Saracens, or anyone else, cannot spend what they like in Europe with no consequences. Those players are included in their Premiership cap anyway.

Who says there won't be future repercussions? Definitively I mean, though I doubt it would happen.

Isn't today (all day) the deadline for the transgressors to request a review of the findings?

Be a bit daft to strip any titles/awards until a review has been discounted....if lodged.

Well unless they are stripped of their European titles then the fact remains that they actually can and have spent what they like in Europe with no consequences !!!

And they did so in the Premiership. Stop doubling down.

Thats blindingly obvious, so stick to what I actually posted that related to europe and not the premiership!

I'm not sure someone's massive overreaction is yours to apologise for.

we can confirm that we are complying strictly with the salary cap regulations in the current season and will continue to work transparently with Premiership Rugby in this regard.

How?

Because all the illegal payments have been made, so the players keep their shares or whatever but don't get any more this season?

As per my previous post there is no salary cap in Europe, so no EPCR rules would be broken, so "no consequences in Europe" would be one way to look at it. However the Premiership rules encompass the European playing squads, and the points deduction in the Premiership would make appearing next year in cup rather difficult.

So while there could be said to be "no salary cap in Europe" and "no consequences in Europe" for breaching the Prem cap, in real terms there both is a cap and there have been consequences for breaking it.

Even if they were promised some more? And/Or it is written into their contracts?

Aren't all "one off" payments spread out over the length of a player's contract? Not aware that Fazlet, Billy V and Mako V etc all signed new contracts this season?
