Indoor gyms to open on 25th July. 3sq.m. per person but clarification being sought. At our gym that would mean 3 people at a time

Think some gyms will be like a lot of pubs. Not worth reopening as difficult to comply with social distancing and so stay shut.

Your gym must be tiny. 3 sq. m is a circle of just under 2m diameter.

They saying 100 sq. ft. wouldn't be enough room in 'the hangover' we will have to see how it works. I wont be able to go until at least Sept.

In fact a decent treadmill wouldn't fit in it, nevermind 3 people

Packed in the gym last Xmas. Not worth the money. Walking 5-6 miles a day and tennis enough for me with some bathroom dumbbell stuff. I reckon most gyms will close, given the amount of home equipment that's been bought during lockdown. York must have made a fortune.

Think that is a distinct possibility Tom. If they cut the No.they will have to increase the prices

The gym business model pretty much has always relied upon the "guilty post Xmas" membership rush direct debit payments continuing throughout the year with non-attendance by the majority of their membership.

A member of SAGE was on tv last night to say that she didn't agree with this new easing as the medical advice had not changed

It seems that it is 3sq.m for swimming and 9 sq.m. In the gym
