My daughter treated me to a subscription to a well know site to trace your history, one arm goes back a very long way and I found a "Sir" or two which was nice........................however the castle(which is now a ruin but still standing) is in Gloucestershire, that means I have some shed head blood coursing through my veins............arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

So you own a ruined castle.

I would have thought that there was money to be made in that especially in light of all those tourist staying at home.

It gets better(or possibly worse) one of the Knights took a Welsh wife, the daughter of Owain Glendower, forget Lord of Castle Grim, I might be chucking Liz and Phil out of Windsor........................................(that's assuming neither me nor the programmer of this site hasn't mucked up somewhere) I am a somewhat obscure but direct descendent of King Henry 111 and my uncle is Simon DeMonfort Earl of Leicester(do I get free tickets?)

You wouldn't want to end up like your uncle though, the king ordered his digits, including his privy member to be removed one by one, had him hung drawn and quartered and sent his head off in a box as a present to Simon's wife.

So what family are we talking of here as my namesake killed Simon de Montfort at Evesham and ended up being hung, drawn and quartered.

Back in the day Henry 3 had his eye on Sicily. Just think oh but for the fate of history you could have owned your own Italian island.
