Thanks Mike

Do you know what's going on at the Chron re rugby?

Stories are thinning out- no updates between team announcements and match reports.

I left a message yesterday enquiring about this and have not had a reply.

Not really, PG. Daniel Evans seems to have stopped reporting about a month ago.
John Evely has been reporting on Rugby for the past month.
Tomas Malloy made the saints report, last week.
Might be an opening for a knowledgeable rugby enthusiast, who is currently doing write-ups about Bath for a website near 'Ere!?

Thanks Hemington but don't think I would be well received at Spa HQ. A little outspoken for some.

It would be a good and enjoyable job for someone more local than me, I live over 60 miles from Bath.

Dan Evans has moved on and was supposed to have been replaced by John Evely. I don't want to speak out of turn, but it seems to me that John is more focused on Bristol than Bath.

It's a shame, as Dan was a credit to Somerset Live and there really is no content coming our way now. In contrast to Dan's Q&As, regular injury updates and days he spent at Farleigh, there's next to nothing being produced. I'm especially sorry not to see any injury updates prior to match weekends.

Maybe it'll improve but I suspect it's another local news outlet going through a cost-cutting exercise.

Or a conscientious journalist becoming disillusioned with the standard of 'journalism' around him!

John Evely has been on holiday (organised before he knew he was to be Bath Rugby reporter). He has promised "Full, and much improved service will resume tomorrow" beginning with Team announcement.

Great! Thanks PG.

And everyone deserves a holiday. Good on you, John.
