It is a tough one. Dunn is amazing but is he better than LCD or George? Third cab off the rank for me ahead of Singleton and Thacker.

And Eddie too

Faletau, Ewells, Watson, McConnochie, Underhill, JJ, May, Polledri, Spencer, Heinz ........ and Dunn? Who were they not watching ? Mercer.

Hes good, but George and LCD better in my opinion. Would probably put Thacker just ahead which just shows the depth we have in England at the moment.

Dunn made 21 carries tonight. And 10 tackles even though we had 68% possession. And was 100% at line out and scrum. Goodness me hes good.

I just have a nagging suspicion that he might not quite be Test match material. Unsure quite why, as I think hes the first name on the Bath team sheet, but not sure if I can quite see him being as effective at the very highest level.

Either way, he deserves a chance to prove me wrong and he certainly has that bit of dog that EJ likes.

Don't really know but he was born in Bristol so possibly dual qualification?

Dunnie is class. Proper grafter old school hooker. Such a shame hes in the prime of his life when LCD & JG are too. Should defo be 3rd choice England hooker imo

I don't want Eddie to break him. Let him pulverise our opposition and score the mauling tries. Why waste him with England where EJ is set on JG and ECD. OK he can go with the Lions where he might get a game and not just hold tackle bags.

Top man Tom. Bath through and through.

It would be nice for him to earn a cap, despite Eddie Jone's record of injury in the England camp.
Hes worked so hard for it.

Thacker for me is like Lee Mears and Tom Youngs immense at club level does well at international level but against the best scrums in the world they are just too small....sorry

Lee Mears had 42 England caps and 4 Lions appearances including a test cap.

Would I love Tom Dunn to get an England cap, of course. Would he let them down? No. Is he a better all-round player than Jamie George? No.

Cowan Dickie plays more like a flanker with his turnovers etc which is why Eddie loves him but as we have seen has dodgy darts - depends if you can overlook that, like Eddie can.

Nice as it would be for him to be capped, I'd rather he stayed at Bath and was treated like the star he is than have him holding tackle bags, warming benches, being sent home on Thursdays and probably being broken in the England camp (and if he thinks about it he probably would as well)

The thing about Tom is that people having been saying "He's not quite good enough for the next level." all his career from what I can see. Most players can't get passed that whether they are good enough to or not, like it or not there's a lot of "face fitting" in rugby and its not to the game's credit (or benefit). What REALLY stands out about Tom for me is he's bloody mindedly ignored them and just worked dam hard to get to that next level.
