Not much of a breather. We play Liverpool in 25 days.
3.5 weeks to see how we compare again. Not much time left for pre season. Hopefully Auba would have signed up by then.

We won't have too many changes to people who are currently available.

Daft to play the first team then.

From what I read, both teams are going to field Reserves and youth:

My take on our team if those players are still around:

..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... Leno

... Soares ... Sokratis ... Saliba ... Kolasinac

..... AMN ..... ..... WIllock ..... ..... Saka

..... Nelson ..... ..... Nketiah ..... ..... Smith-Rowe

Both Sokratis and Kolasinac indicated that they will see out their contract.

Assuming by then, Holding and Torreira had been sold.
Perhaps Bellerin as well if the right price is tabled.

Anymore youngsters making a break-through for 2020/21 season?

They have played a lot of games recently, but had very little except keeping a general level of fitness up the the PL restart from March. They should be OK. CLubs still involved in the CL will suffer more.

Perhaps being knocked out by Olympiacos was a blessing in disguise for us.

Same for Liverpool.

Yep that's why we need to kick on right from the first week. Any remote chance of qualifying for CL rests on that. Although I don't think we can finish higher than 5th next year

We really do need to start a season up and running for once instead of playing our usual catch up after the first 4 or 6 weeks.
Anything above 5th Place would be a very good achievement next season.

I think I heard on the radio that teams still involved with European competitions will get a delay to the season. Yes, here's confirmation.

A poisoned chalice, especially the end date is the same for all 20 teams.
