Exeter v saints

Well, interesting 32 ish mins. Saints a bit sloppy but Mr make peace not particularly impressed with. No real clangers barring the proctor high tackle round his ankles, but every marginal decision against us. Including exeters defence so heavily offside it's a joke. Prevents any kind of entertainment in my opinion.

Edit ok after 36 saints very very sloppy

When he says no,no,no.......no they must be offside.

Think for Exeterís try a knock on and double movement was worth a look

Why has the ref not looked at a potential knock on for that try?.. there was doubt and needed looking at.

Chiefs are getting away with murder at ruck time both offensively and in defence. And he is just telling them not to be offside.. bloody penalise them man they are yards off donít just tell them!!

Saints poor. Handling not good, defence positioning not great, losing collisions, tackling weak. Playing too much rugby. Exeter are quite dominant in the tackle and collisions

Look at the difference with our defensive line and theirs. Maybe some of it tactical, but on our ball, exeters midfield could be confused with our back line. It's no where near onside.

At the game and this ref may as well not have any linesmen because they are totally asleep!!!! Every marginal decision being given against us but we are atrocious at times and our own worst enemy. Coughing up too much ball due to mistakes rather than anything else. All very well playing exciting showboat rugby but if you lose the ball continually then totally wasted.

Defensive intensity is looking a lot better. Our offloading gameplan just isnt suited to wetter months, not sure why were continuing with it in our own 22. Made some good breaks in their half. Ref is missing some clear and obvious infringements in the middle of the park which is helping exeter win that midfield battle. Couple that with their power and it may be a long day.

Every offensive ruck a chiefs player tackles a Saints player to the ground beyond the ruck

Exeter are playing well and saints making lots of errors but how long is the ref giving white to get the ball out

Main issue
Forwards not physical enough to suck players in when driving
We are getting knocked back
If we get good go forward ball
The backs can play

Just being dominated by Exeter
Need to fight back

If you are going to referee then at least do it properly! Any chance he could take a look at them being offside at every opportunity.

We are sloppy but at least make it a fair contest. As for Exeter players not using any arms when clearing out rucks🤦‍♂️

Guess as the darling boys of the Premiership we have to give them every opportunity

Still think chiefs would be winning by far as our accuracy is embarrassing at times, but makepeace not policing their defensive line forces some of them. He is culpable for some of our error count in attack and has reduced the entertainment of attacking play to almost nil, with points only really coming from chiefs lineouts, not that there is a shock there.

Too many players in Saints side who are simply not good enough to compete against the league leaders. Even allowing for four players being away on 6N duty and second row injuries, Boyd appears to have selected a team to go through the motions. Defensively very slow to regain position. All that being said, the referee has given Saints nothing and every bounce of the ball has gone the way of the side - that happens when you are top of the league !

Pen count 9-1 to exeter. Saints have had much more ball and territory for that count. Games not been correctly called but then our lads not been physical or accurate enough.
