Dodgers sign Zach Neal to minor league deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed right handed pitcher Zach Neal to a minor league contract. Neal departed the Oakland Athletics under free agency in October and stated he wanted to sign another minor league contract elsewhere. 

Although no deal has been officially announced at time of going to press it is believed he will be invited to Dodgers spring training.

The 29-year-old made his Major League debut with the Athletics in 2016 but has only seen limited game time with just 14 2/3 innings in the Majors in 2017 with a 7.98 ERA in six relief appearances. He was regularly called up and sent down again throughout 2017 and posted 4.82 ERA, 0.9 BB/9 and 3.9 SO/9 in 99 innings with Triple-A Nashville Sounds.
