Following injuries to Chester Ribbons and Steele Barker, the Pirates squad sees Joe Elderkin slotting into the centre with Tomi Agbongbon selected at No. 8, whilst Hugh Bokenham moves up into the second row.

Josh King and Luke Ratcliff come onto the bench, and, if Matt Cannon features, it will mark his 50th appearance for the club.

An early test for our squad away to a good Coventry side who finished 3rd last season.
We need to get a solid set piece, control possession and territory with discipline in defence as demonstrated last week.
If we get these aspects of our game in place,despite the loss of Steele Barker and Chester Ribbons, we can come away with the win.

Didn't see that coming. Sounds like two yellow cards at the same time hit us hard after we clawed back to be close at half time.

A very disappointing result.
No doubt the loss of Chester Ribbons late in the week and the withdrawal of Joe Elderkin just before kick off would have impacted on our preparation but not to the extent of this defeat.
We need a big response when we entertain Ealing next week.

Every season every club has a shock like this, a game best forgotten by the supporters but some lessons definitely to be learned and put right. which they hopefully will. I wasn't there but listened in to the commentary on the radio which seemed impartial for the most part. but one thing the commentators noticed and remarked on was our inability to hold on to the ball at crucial times. Two yellow cards made a difference as it did to Cov when they lost two to the bin. That said we did score 40 points against a good side, Onwards and upwards, we have another huge test coming up this weekend.
