Drive-Thru Training for Quins
March 20 2020
The backroom staff at The Stoop have provided each player with individual fitness packages in a way to keep up fitness levels while the season is suspended due to COVID-19.
Today all rugby has been abandoned for the season but players need to stay fit and healthy and fitness packs have been provided . They have all been disinfected and players will be picking them up in a drive-thru system at the training ground.
According to reports, each fitness pack includes a skipping rope and resistance bands to ensure they keep leg and glute muscles active during the lay-off as well as a nutrition pack of whey proteins and multivitamins to maintain their immune system and energy levels.
Quins were in position seven in the standings prior to the suspension of the competition last week, and are currently priced at 5/1 across gambling platforms like www.bestussportsbetting.com.
“We do know the situation at the minute and there are issues at supermarkets so we are using club partners to make sure we can provide the lads with their daily protein intake,” said performance nutritionist Ted Munson.
“They can take the supplements between meals if they are struggling to get the protein intake. We are taking a food-first approach to make sure they take them through breakfast, lunch and dinner but these provide a convenient way to ensure they get to their levels.”
In addition to staying fit, the players will also have to carry out online mindfulness exercises, as well as having FaceTime consultations with the coaching staff.
The Quins also had their Premiership Rugby Cup final match with Sale Sharks cancelled on Sunday, and were priced at 2/1 to win the Cup final with the best sports betting sites Canada and across the globe.pqs: qs:
