Sir Jack has been honoured once more this time having a street named after him called Jack Hayward Way.

Author: J Bateman Sir Jack will be 80 soon and on top of his honour of getting the freedom of Bristol , our friend and chariman Sir Jack Hayward has now had a street named after his good self , Molineux Way has been changed to Jack Hayward Way in honour of the man that has sent a fortune in finally getting Wolves into the top flight. Roger Lawrence Wolverhampton's City Council leader presented Sir Jack with the street plaque , speaking to the Wolves official website Sir Jack said "It is an honour and a wonderful birthday present. It has been a successful year, what with going up to the Premiership, getting the Freedom of the City of Bristol, celebrating my 80th birthday and now this, having a road named after me." "One of the many letters of congratulations that we have received over the last few days came from Manchester United and I noticed on the headed notepaper that Old Trafford is in Sir Matt Busby Way and now we have something similar." |
