 FA Give Reading Fans Verdict

 The Football League has given their verdict to the bitter Reading fans who complained about the way they were treated at Molineux during the Play-Off home leg - Which Reading lost.

 As Wolvesfc.co.uk reported on the 15th May (click here to read the article), the Reading Supporters Trust, also known as STAR sent a dossier to the FA regarding trouble they had received whilst being at Molineux for the Play-Off first leg, which they lost 2-1 to a Lee Naylor free-kick.

 The Football League were quick to probe Wolverhampton Wanderers and have released a report on the alleged offences committed by Wolves Fans, a report which Reading Fans are not happy with.

 The Football League Report says Wolves have taken steps to monitor the away fans at Molineux and as far as the Football League are concerned, the matter is closed.

 A Football League spokesman said As far as we are concerned the matter is now closed. We contacted the club after Reading fans called us.

“The club met the council, football licensing authorities and the police superintendent on duty on the day of the game.

“Steps will be taken and a new CCTV system could be fitted, but the club points out ticketing arrangements were different that day.”

 The bitter Reading fans which watched their hopes of watching Premiership Football next season fade before their eyes when Rae scored in the 81st minute at Reading still want to take the matter further.

“We have pulled together a dossier of our supporters’ experiences on the day and will consider taking it further.

“There is an independent football complaints body, which is a new avenue we may explore because this is a mild slap on the wrist for Wolves and nothing more.” Mr Keen from STAR told GetReading.
