Wolves and Birmingham City along with Fenerbahce are in a tussle to sign ex Chelsea shot stopper Ed De Goey.

Author: Scott Cooper Wolves and Birmingham City along with Fenerbahce are in a tussle to sign ex Chelsea shot stopper Ed De Goey. The 36 year old is on a Free Transfer from Chelsea and De Goeys Agent has confirmed Birmingham and Turkish side Fenerbahce are interested in signing him. He also added Wolves are closely watching the `Keeper and have had some contact from Wolves via another Agent. Ger Lagendijk who represents De Goey told Planet Football "It is correct, we are in talks with both clubs (Fener and Blues)." "There has been no concrete offer yet, I would say at the moment they are informal discussions, "Also, the promoted club Wolverhampton Wanderers have an intrest in De Goey. But that interest comes via a commissioned Agent" "That club has not yet contacted me directly" Wolves have also been linked with Sunderlands shot stopper Thomas Sorenson after Sunderland announced they would be offloading players.
