No move for Manchester City defender Bischoff

WOLVES have decided against signing Manchester City defender Mikkel Bischoff. The defender has returned to Manchester City.

In a surprise move by the club today it was announced that defender Mikkel Bischoff would not be signing for Wolves on a permanent basis.

It looked certain Bischoff would sign for Wolves during the summer, especially as Wolves paid a "significant" loan fee for the defender in a plan which would have seen the loan fee deducted from the price of an overall transfer.

However Wolves Manager Glenn Hoddle today told the clubs official website  "We have decided not to take up the option which was available to us as part of the loan agreement to buy Mikkel, we'd like to thank him for his hard work and we wish him all the very best in the future."

Meanwhile Chief Executive Jez Moxey has said that no bids had been made for highly rated centre half Joleon Lescott.
