Broken ankle for Dokic?

Jelena Dokic has been forced to withdraw from the Collins Cup, Dublin exhibition following an ankle injury. Rumours have been spreading which suggest Dokic may have a broken ankle.

It is believed that Dokic waited until the last possible moment before pulling out of the event, despite huge questions being raised over whether she would turn up for the event right from the start.

Dokic appeared to be struggling with an ankle injury a month ago during her fantastic effort against the world number one Serena Williams.

Dokic is obviously still struggling with the injury, and one of the organisers of the Dublin event even mentioned that Jelena may well have broken the ankle.

Russia's Elena Bovina will now fill the young Yugoslav's shoes in the Collins cup.
