WTA Championship 2003- The third day

The third day of the WTA Tour Championship 2003, Justine Henin-Hardenne won against Jennifer Capriati 6:2 6:1, Anastasia Myskina beat Ai Sugiyama 6:4 6:3 and Kim Clijsters won in a tough match against Amélie Mauresmo 3:6 6:4 6:4.

The third day, and we still can’t get enough.

There were three matches Myskina against Sugiyama, Henin-Hardenne against Capriati and Clijsters against Mauresmo. Wow, that sounds like an exciting night.

Believe me, it was an exciting night.The first match was Myskina against Sugiyama.

Myskina played very well, Sugiyama too but in the end Myskina played better and won the match (6:4 6:3).

Than we saw Henin-Hardenne against Capriati. We all remembered the semi-final of the US Open 2003 where Henin-Hardenne won in an amazing match against Capriati. This time it wasn’t an exciting match. Henin-Hardenne won easily 6:2 6:1.

Than the last match Clijsters against Mauresmo. The best match of the day. They both played fantastic, but there could be only one winner. And the winner was again Kim Clijsters (3:6 6:4 6:4).

Mauresmo had her chances but she lost again. After her win against Amélie Mauresmo Kim Clijsters is in the semi-finals. Amélie Mauresmo has now only a little chance to reach the semi-final, Elena Dementieva will have to beat Chanda Rubin for that to happen.

Tonight it will be the last day before the semi-finals. Elena Dementieva against Chanda Rubin, Jennifer Capriati against Anastasia Myskina, Justine Henin-Hardenne against Ai Sugiyama.
