In earlier reports Karolina Sprem was not fit enough to compete with her Croatian Fed Cup Team and was said to withdraw. Latest report shows that the promising Croatian will join her team in Bree, Belgium.
Sprem will be traveling to Belgium on Tuesday and she starts practicing on the indoor clay court on Wednesday.
On her website it is said that her father confirmed that Karolina is healthy and ready for action. She was just in need for some days of rest to continue her schedule.
Australia’s Nicole Pratt has withdrawn from the first round Fed Cup match against Russia. Pratt picked up a stomach muscle injury again in a doubles match at the Family Circle Cup in Charleston.
Australian Team Captain Evonne Goolagong Cawley said that the withdrawal means that Samantha Stosur and Alicia Molik will play singles.
Olivia Lukaszewicz has been appointed to complete the team.
