Belgian Kim Clijsters and Australian Lleyton Hewitt have ended their long-term relationship. Their announced wedding for February 2005 has been canceled. The couple met at the Australian Open of 2000 and started dating from then on.

After almost five year the Belgian Australian couple breaks up their relationship. They engaged to be married at the end of 2003.

“Kim and Lleyton, like any other couple breaking up, won't communicate through the media about the split, as it happens to be a private matter. They both distance themselves from the malicious gossip, which inevitably surfaces in this kind of situation,” according to the news on Kim Clijsters’ website.
