Australian Open second round qualifying

 

Krajicek started off well, taking Osterloh’s service early. Krajicek then managed to fend off 13 breakpoints in a row, until Osterloh finally managed to break Krajicek in the first set at the 14^th attempt, coming back to 4-4 in the first set.

 

Osterloh could not hold her own serve and left Krajicek to successfully serve for the first set, taking it 6-4. In the second set Osterloh still tried to fight back, but an early break at 1-2 for Krajicek ended all hopes for Osterloh.

 

Krajicek managed to notch another break to finish off the match at 6-2. Krajicek now hopes to overcome 14^th seeded Russian Galina Voskoboeva to reach the Main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time in her young career.

Other seeds to go out were 10^th seed Milagros Sequera of Venezuela, 11^th seed Tiantian Sun of China and 24^th seed Conchita Martinez-Granados of Spain.
