Chesterfield 2 Cheltenham 2

Many supporters were not looking forward to this game which was coming just 2 days after the match against Crewe.However Cheltenham stormed into a 2 goal lead only to see their good work undone in 3 minutes.

In a fairly uneventful 1st half with the only action being Jamie Victory's shot blocked by Julian Alsop and Glynn Hurst having his effort stopped by Steve Book at the othert end the game came to life after 55 minutes when Damien Spencer grabbed his 3rd goal of the season with a shot from the edge of the 6 yard box after good work by Martin Devaney.

He got his second of the match 15 minutes later with another close range shot which put Cheltenham into a 2 goal advantage.

This was to last less then 60 seconds as Shayne Bradley's shot from the edge of the penalty area beat Steve Book.

Chesterfield got the equaliser 2 minutes later when Stuart Howson scored with a close range header.There was little other action after this with both teams going close but this result still leaves Cheltenham in the drop zone in 23rd.
