International Racing Driver of the Year. After achieving an amazing seventh world drivers championship title, winning 13 races in the process, Michael Schumacher didn't win it. That went to our very own Jenson Button.

Quite how he managed that is anyone's guess, but at least it's something that the young man has won this year.

It's not looking to good for 2005 so far though, with BAR regularly ending up at the bottom of the time sheets in testing. While you can't read too much into these times, especially with the team running a lot of the less efficient 2005 developments on the car, dropping behind the likes of Jordan is cause for concern.

Not concerned at all is Tom Chrest, who wins the inaugural BAR-Talk.com Fantasy Formula One competition. The wannabe team chief from Maryland USA managed to beat off over 200 other entries, leading the title chase from the opening round. Given that dominant performance, perhaps we should have given the prize to the player who came third...

Formula One has now officially ended for the year, so there won't be a lot more to write about unless something silly happens, like the team going up for sale.

Er...

The team is up for sale, but it's all a bit of gamesmanship. The only buyer will be BAT and Honda, and it's just a way of finally getting rid of Craig Pollock, Rick Gorne and Adrian Reynard, but it won't do anything to boost sponsor confidence in a team that's had more than its fair share of troubles in the last season, and that's before you look back at 1999-2003.
