Leigh Centurions chief executive Tommy Cunningham has decided to not take up the option of signing two players who were impressive for the Centurions last year.
Former Great Britain scrum half Bobbie Goulding has been released although this was expected as it was thought Leigh wouldn't have been able to afford to pay his wages while playing outside of Super League.
Flying winger Oli Marns, who was on loan from Halifax Blue Sox, has also not been signed despite becoming a favourite with the fans with his searing pace and exciting running. Marns signed for Leigh after scoring a "full lengther" at Hilton Park when on loan at Keighley Cougars.
Both players joined halfway through the season and played in Leigh's Grand Final defeat.
