Leigh Centurions have missed out on a potentially lucrative draw against local amateur side Leigh Miners Rangers but have been handed a truly historic tie instead.

Russian league champions Locomotiv Moscow will travel to England to face the Centurions at Hilton Park. They follow Strela Kazan, the Russian league runners up, who lost narrow to Embassy of Hull in the 2nd Round.

Miners Rangers have been drawn against National League Two outfit Chorley Lynx, who ironically are coached by former Leigh Academy coach Darren Abram and their side features many players who have been on the books for Leigh Centurions or even played their junior rugby for the Leigh Miners Rangers junior sides.
