| 23-25 July – German Grand
Prix, Hockenheimring, Hockenheim Panis: “As a racing driver, I thought the old ultra-fast Hockenheimring was something special, although I do actually like the newer layout. It is completely different, much wider and slower, but can still provide some overtaking opportunities. Like most tracks nowadays Hockenheim is a maximum downforce track, so we need to find a good mechanical and aerodynamic set-up to be quick. Last year’s German Grand Prix was a turning point for Toyota because it was the first time that everything fell into place for us with both cars in the top 6. It was our best result of the season and one that put us in a position to challenge for 5th in the constructors’ championship, where we should be aiming in 2004.” |
