Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th June 2003: The fourth round of the British NORA Championships takes place this weekend at Blyton Raceway, Gainsborough. With a packed entry for this weekend’s races in the 450 and Open Class, the racing is bound to be as heated as ever.
With four different winners in the Open Class at the last visit to the track, almost a month ago, the racing is guaranteed to be close. With reigning British Champion Warren Steele, plus KTM rider Ady Smith, Husaberg rider Christian Iddon and Honda rider Leighton Haigh taking a win apiece, the battles are likely to be intense.
Leighton Haigh is currently leading both the Open and 450 Championships, and will be hoping to extend his lead at the Lincolnshire based track. With team-mate Mike Wright chasing him hard in the 450 Class, and Ady Smith and Andy Mitchell hot on his heels in the Open Class, there will definitely be some interesting encounters taking place throughout the weekend.
Tickets are just £5 per person - well worth the day out. Blyton Raceway is situated five miles north of Gainsborough on the A159. Check out www.NORASport.com for more details.
