Airdrie got back on the winning track today with a well deserved two nil win over promotion hopefulls, Falkirk at Brockville.

The Diamonds started the match with venom and looked well fired up for the game with the best of the early exchanges.

It was Falkirk however that almost took the lead after 33 mins but Broto made a superb point blank save to deny the home side.

Airdrie then broke from the back and Moreau found himself on the edge of the Falkirk box, he dragged the ball back on to his right foot and let a cracker of a curling drive go that left Hogarth with no chance.

Falkirk came out for the second half with a bit more fire in their bellies but still found it extremely difficult to break The Diamonds down.

Airdrie then began to dominate the game as they did in the first half and created numerous chances to go two up but Moreau, who was playing as a makeshift striker due to the suspensions of Prest and Fernandez was unable to take advantage of any of them.

Stuart Ingram was then replaced late on by a Trialist who we believe at The Stomp is a Fin.

With only a couple of touches under his belt, the trialist scored Airdrie's second goal of the afternoon to sink the Bairns and leave them without a win in three weeks.

Overall today, the team looked extremely hungry for a win and Sanjuan in the midfield was arguably our man of the match. He was putting himself about well in the middle and not scared to mix it with the Falkirk players.
