Bus details for Inverness

AISA will be running buses to Inverness as usual and non members can book their seats by emailing Graeme at DIAMONDPOWER9@aol.com. Buses are leaving from the Albert Bar in Airdrie at 0930hours on Saturday morning.

The victory over Partick was most welcome this week and what a performance from the team. I was so glad to see guys like Neil MacFarlane, Kevin James, John Henry and Mark Roberts show their undoubted ability again. MacFarlane was almost an unknown quantity when he signed from Killie. I admit to having visions of another Stuart Davidson type of player. How wrong first impressions can be. John Henry came as a known quantity but it took him a few games to settle. However he is growing in stature with each passing game and looks to be justifying Ian McCalls faith in him.

It was also good to see Owen Coyle take his goal so well. I've been quick to criticise his contributions on here lately, but credit where it's due. Give the guy a ball into the box and it's his. I don't like his build up play as too often he fails to hold possesion, and for the life of me I can't understand a 35 year old chasing defenders all over the pitch when he should be saving himself, Romario like, to get himself in the box at all costs where he is deadly.

I don't know if I speak for everyone as well, but it fills me with a strange sense of pride to see David Fernandez doing so well for Livingston. Having taken him in my dream team, it hasn't gone unnoticed that he has been winning "Man of the Match" awards just about every other week. What is the betting that the former Airdrie player will win some of the big "Player of the Year" awards this season? Having watched the Old Firm in Europe this season and noticing how they can't hold the ball up and unlock the tightest of defences, I wouldn't be surprised if either of them will make a bid for him.
