Although pleased to get of to a winning start I felt the game was spoilled by one very poor referee,he was determined not to let the game flow at any stage.
As for the sending off's--- Michael Moore-yes for diving twice
Brian McPhee-never saw him use his elbow but if he did
then he deserved to go aswell.
We look as though we've got not to bad a side and could be a match for all at Stair Park afew points on our travels and we'll be ok.

Tight game today but we edged it by creating the better chances. Diabolical refereeing for both sides, neither man deserved a red and few of the others deserved their bookings.
Airdire had absolutely nothing in the final third, was really shocked (well, pleased really) how poor they were. We coped with everything they threw at us easily.
You can slag Stranraer's play all you like, we've come to the First Division looking for 8th place and on today's performance we're in better shape than you for this season. More importantly, we're 3 points and 5 goals up on Queens already  Long may that continue

Well done Stranraer. I think any win is this league will be something to be proud of and it is very important not to get cast adrift early on. With a potentially difficult game next week the 3 points today were most welcome. Never made the game due to playing myself but heard that is was a reasonable performance if nothing spectacular. In the end of the day though survival is our aim and we have made an excellant start!
