Airdrie are hoping for some luck and maybe some divine help on getting tomorrows match off the ground, the club will be looking at the park at 9:00am and will from there decide if a pitch inspection by a referee is required.

Sandy has to more or less continue with the team that has lead us to sixth position in the league and scored 9 goals in two games.
However the hard decision is Martin Hardie will his temper force Sandy to make an example of him and maybe drop him for this match?
Will he drop back in to mid-field as David Dunn did nothing to help his own cause last week?
Or and this is my preferred option would be to continue with Martin up front and use Brian McPhee as the foil for later on in the game.
Sandy is with out nobody, he has a full squad to choose from Gary Twigg is now fully fit and Stephen Docherty returns from a suspension.
Playing St Johnstone in the past was always a drag as far as I'm concerned boring matches that I used to dread, with the arrival of Owen Coyle that has changed. As discussed on the forum already Jason Scotland was the difference between the two teams during our last meeting and looks to be St Johnstone only hope of beating us this weekend.

Owen Coyle is with out ten players and no matter how big a squad you have that has to hurt.
St Johnstone do have one of the biggest squads in the league this season but to go in to a game with the likes of David Hannah and Kieran McAnespie who picked up injuries against Raith Rovers in midweek.
When you add Darren Sheridan to the list as he is suspended then include Scott Paterson, Ryan McCann, Simon Mensing, Ryan Stevenson, Mark Paston and Mark Campbell. Owen Coyle definitely has his troubles.
However I'm going to make a presumption here and assume that Owen and Sandy both know one another's hands and this match may come down to who plays the best bluff. |

With Douglas McDonald in charge we have won one and lost one this season, the loss was against Raith Rovers in the cup one of the worst matches ever played by Airdrie so much so that I even left early. The other was against Stranraer a match we won 1 - 0 back in October.
No Airdrie players were booked in either match.

Prediction |
A win tomorrow would put us back in the race, maybe not enough for promotion but easily enough that we could attain second spot in this league.
I have to go for a 2 -0 win to the Diamonds. |
