The two clubs played last pre-season with dyer consequences for The Motormen, Chester ran out 7-0 winners, with FIVE City plays getting on the score sheet Guyett, Twiss, Brodie, Sugden and Michael Brown got a brace. Vauxhall did however manage to grab a second half goal (in the wrong end). Daryl Clare may prove difficult for Mike Tomlinson and Craig Robinson to handle, albeit he has been linked with moves away from The Deva Stadium, with Aberdeen, Rangers, Tranmere Rovers and Grimsby all being rumoured. Chester have just come out of a good season finishing in the play-offs as well as their own giant-killing beating Second Division Colchester United with an acrobatic Chris Tate goal, while Vauxhall Motors failed to better their League position, but still managed to grab a top 3 spot. | ![]() |
