Reaction to the Northampton game

The reaction from various sources to the 1-0 defeat at Northampton Town. The views include the Northampton manager wanting more goals, a Northampton fan hoping its the turning point in their season and a worrying quote from Keith Alexander regarding fighting in the dressing room.

Let's face facts, it wasn't the best performance we've had and is par for the course these days away from home. For months now, our away performances have been below par and the fact we've only won 4 away games this calender year and that only 2 of those were deserved says it all.

So many players just seemed below par and it wasn't the performance a promotion chasing team, Northampton battled all over the pitch and did a great job keeping City quiet although their tactics were questionable. Either way, a draw from our final two games will see us (barring a Northampton goal scoring blitz) get a playoff spot.

"We huffed and puffed but nothing went for us, we couldn't string two passes together, the front lads never held the ball up and the midfield were a yard short."

"It wouldn't be Lincoln if we did things the easy way. We do this every year- jitters near the end of the season, but we always seem to get through to the play offs. I'm panicking a tiny bit,but then again i always do!! I think we can scramble at least a draw next week which will be enough, although we do need to finish as high up in the league as possible.
