Reaction to the defeat at Tranmere

In our latest reaction, we look at the LDV game at Tranmere Rovers that ended 2-1 to the home side as they progress. It seemed as though it was one of those nights for the Imps as they failed to create and decent chances despite having 3 clear penalties turned down, oh well, c'est la vie.


Let's face it, it's hardly a surprise is it, we never usually get past the first round in this competition and this year was no different after a rather unconvincing display against higher-league opposition. Tranmere were worthy winners after dominating the majority of the game and 2-1 flattered us as we deserved to let at least 4 in.

Overall, the LDV isn't at the top of our priority list and although it would have been nice to go in the 2nd Round, we won't lose any sleep over it and if anything, it's just made us want an away win even more and shouldn't be too much long.

I'm not even slightly looking forward to playing Wycombe on Saturday, not only because we never beat them, but because they're undefeated so far this season.
