Imps get second chance against Dons

The reward for the winners, will be a less than enthusastic trip to League 1 high-flyers, Southend United and if City progress, it will be a repeat of last season's playoff final. Since the game at Sincil Bank, both sides have had contrasting results, City could only draw with Shrewsbury Town, despite dominating much of the match, whereas MK Dons recorded their first away win of the season, making this game even more unpredictable than it already was.

This report is incredibly short due to the fact that if I wrote it like I normally do, it'd be virtually an exact replica of the preview for the first game.

City's goal-shy attack will more than likely stay the same as the previous few games, with Robinson being partnered by Asamoah and Green. McAuley will definatly not be at Sincil Bank, he won't even be in the country as he will be representing Northern Ireland against Portgual, so Luke Foster or Bloomer will more than likely take his place. With Keates suspended, following his sending off in the game at Sincil Bank, Mayo will more than likely keep his place in the squad after a rather solid performance against Shrewsbury. Infact, other than McAuley, it's almost certain to be the exact same squad that started at the weekend.

MK Dons' have had a good week and a bit since playing the Imps, as they recorded their first away win of the season with a 2-1 victory at Tranmere Rovers. The men from Prenton Park were winning 1-0 thanks to a 38th minute goal from Jackson. However, 2 goals in a minute from the ever impressive Izzle McLeod sealed the points for the Dons.

McLeod will more than likely pose the main threat against the Imps whereas he is backed up by some players with potential such as Matt Baker, Clive Platt and Gareth Edds.
