Dokic to face Panova in final

Jelena Dokic and Tatiana Panova will contest the final of the Sarasota Open after winning their semi-finals in completely different fashion.

Dokic, the number one seed, won the first set 6-3 against Virgine Razzano, who retired with an injury after losing the opening game of the second set.

Panova took a much tougher route to the final against number two seed Meghann Shaugnessy.

The first set went to a tie-break which Panova finally won 11-9 and she then saw off the American when winning the second set 6-4.
