A Group of Supporters propose a Trust.

A group of supporters today announced moves to create a supporter's trust. With the recent poor financial figures at Turf Moor it is just one more way the fans are seeking to aid the club and be part of it in the long term.

The Supporter's Trust which is still at an early stage of planning has been backed by supporter's groups and the club a like.

It's proposed aims so far are:

1. The establishment of a permanent and meaningful dialogue between supporters of Burnley Football Club and the directors of the club. The purpose of which is to ensure that supporters needs are fully understood by the club.

2. To help secure the future of Burnley Football Club for future generations of supporters through the purchase of shares which will be held in trust.

Although more details are still needed, the idea seems to have real promise and has been effective at clubs like York City FC.
