Joining us soon?
It seems we are not going down, and not going up. As season tickets get renewed it's time to look at who will be with us in League 2 next season, albeit nothing is decided just yet.

Consistently inconsistent
One week we are beating the League leaders, the next we are getting beat by relegation candidates. Inconsistency is becoming a characteristic of our season and it's hard to understand what this is down to? The same players enter the field of play, yet 90 minutes later they trudge off unrecognisable from the team we saw a week earlier. Sometimes it even happens in the same game, 15 minutes of brilliance against Morecambe, followed by 75 minutes of gradual disintegration.

The ‘R’ word re-enters our vocabulary
2-0 up to 2-3 down. Beggars belief. Cruising inside ten minutes, cursing after 95. The Morecambe game was a wake up call. We need to improve. Worse still, we are heading in the wrong direction and there is a danger that we are back in a relegation battle. What's gone wrong?

Looking through the quiet window
It's about 7 hours until the transfer window closes. It seems that very little is happening at the club, nobody in and nobody out. Whilst there is still time for stuff to happen, the sense around the club is that not much will change. If this is the case where will it leave us?

No game, pass the time
There's no match today, so getting your fix of Rovers stuff will be difficult. By way of public service we have generated 10 random questions for you to respond to. Doubtless the time would have passed anyway, but over to you.

January window
So far, so quiet. In previous windows we have sometimes got our business done early, it doesn't look like that will be the case this year. In part this may be because the club are waiting to see what happens with wunderkid Rob Apter. He has been a vital element in our revival and it's hard to see who would be a better option. Whilst we tend to concentrate on who is coming in we don't often discuss who might be going out. Last year we had the shock of Eliot Nevitt leaving for Crewe, I wonder if there will be any surprises this year?

12 months on
We are coming to the end of 2023, an eventful year for Rovers, but not necessarily for the right reasons. It would be fair to say that there have been more low points than high points.

Playing Away
I spent many years exiled from Prenton Park, more often than not I would see us get beat. Occasionally though we would win. Cracking victories at places like Brentford, Carlisle, QPR, Orient, the list was endless. This season we are almost at the halfway point and those that follow Tranmere on the road have not seen us secure a League victory. What is the cause of this problem?

A quiet Christmas?
I know that it's because we're out of the FA Cup, but it feels like home games are a rarity at the moment. The Christmas period seems particularly lacking in trips to Prenton Park given that the fixture computer has us without a match at home between Christmas and New Years Day. This seems odd, albeit a quirk rather than any conspiracy.

Connor - a wonder of nature
Rovers have announced that Connor Jennings has signed a contract until the end of next season. Whilst some where sceptical regarding his return, bringing him back to Prenton Park has proven to be one of the few highlights in a season of mostly lows. His contribution has been immense.
