Why can't we get a Delroy Facey on loan. The Bolton striker went on to get a hat trick and send us home pointless - yet again.

We lined up against a goal shy side who were there for the taking. Instead of finding a tough challenge ahead of them they found the Saddlers with their poor away record ready to roll over for another defeat on the road.

We fell behind early on when Delroy Facey put Burnley ahead after 4 minutes. Merson got us back in the game against the run of play 20 minutes later, at a time when we were under a considerable amount of pressure. Merson did well to get on the end of a Samways ball and get us back in to the game.

We failed to control the game and it always seemed as though we would be leaving Turf Moor pointless. We were carving out half chances, but our poor finishing was epitomised by Leitao's close range miss just before half time.

Moore and West both went close for the Clarets early in the second half, but it seemed as though might be able to hang on for a point. Any hopes we had were put to rest by Facey who with 10 minutes left to play  latched on to a Blake free kick and put Burnley 2-1 up.

Facey got his and Burnley's 3rd with minutes left to play by taking advantage of some slack marking and latching on to another Blake ball in to the box.

Many fans would have thought that with 10 minutes left to play we could have been bringing at least a point back home. Lee had a moan about the decision to award a free kick against Baird (the one that led tot he goal) but this was pointless. We had invited the pressure on our selves, and deserved to go home pointless - yet again.
