No Paul Merson meant Jorge Leitao got a starting place and a chance to prove himself. Merson was out with a stomach bug, and Lee thought it best to rest him, rather that risk it.

We never really looked in danger of losing the game, although many reports suggest the Dons should have had a penalty in the first half when Ropes tangled with Agyemang, sending the giant forward crashing to the floor.

Agyemang should have put the Dons ahead early on when he turned Ropes and Ritchie inside out only to send his shot wide of Jim Walkers goal. Gray then went on to have another chance, but also missed the target.

The Saddlers lost Jamie Vincent early on, and he was replaced by Zigor Aranalde who went on to have a great game. But it was another sub - Neil Emblen who got the winner for the Saddlers, with just 20 minutes left to play.

The Saddlers had created a number of chances in the game, Darren Wrack was guilty of missing one sitter in the first half. It was a lot like we had been at Sheffield United, but we managed to create the chances. All we have to do now is take them and we will cement our mid-table position.

The Christmas period will be crucial. If we can continue to turn possession in chances, and chances in to goals, then we should have no problems. But it's never that simple with the Saddlers.
