Spain: First free practice commentary

A quiet start to the Spanish Grand Prix weekend, with only 9 drivers setting times in the first free practice hour. Giorgio Mondini went out and set a time for the Midland F1 team, but both race drivers stayed in the garage and saved their tyres.

Unfortunately we were not able to view the first practice session live, but a quick question to our source in the team garage revealed that the team had not planned anything special for this session and that both the race drivers were saving their tyres for the afternoon practice hour.
