An exciting game when Albion came out and played well in the second half. 5 tries to 4

On a day when Harlequins are beaten by Exeter Chiefs, Nottingham beat Bedford and Scotland put one over England, Albion come back in the second half to do what was expected of them and take the win and a bonus point to boot.

This was an exciting game although worrying for Albion in the first half, and at one time saw us 7 -22 down.  Within eleven minutes of the start Coventry's Dave Tiueti scored under the posts which was then converted by winger James Moore bringing his season's total to 200 points.  Nick Defty repaid Graham for his starting position by converting his own try to bring the score back to 7 all after 14 minutes. On 22 minutes Coventry broke through our line to score their 2nd try which was converted and just two minutes later a penalty brought the score to 7 - 17.  On the half hour the Coventry pack crossed the line and under the pile of bodies a try was given after the ref checked with the touch judge.  A similar situation at the other end some 4 minutes later was not referred to the touch line.  A short time later Alfie went over which was then converted by Nick.  The half finished with a flourish with Alfie again making progress but this time not making the line.

Albion seemed to come out after the change around a new team and just 6 minutes into the second half Martin Rice scored 20 metres from the posts from a rolling maul for Nick to again add two points.  This brought Albion to within one point and when Luke Arscott kicked over the Coventry defence from just ten metres out Jon Fabian was able to collect and score in the corner.  Coventry then made their best play of the second half almost immediately to score in the corner to retake the lead 26 - 27.  On the hour with one of our many forward pushes Albion kept the maul moving for 15 metres only for the ball to be dropped just short of the line.  A penalty five metres out and under the posts gave Nick an easy chance to retake the lead 29 - 27.  Shortly after a Coventry player was sin binned Luke broke through the defence and then passed to Regard Van Eyk to score the final points of the match.
