England v Australia - 3rd Test Scorecard

By Tom James
August 5 2013

England have retained the Ashes, after being rescued by the rain at Old Trafford in the third test match. It means their 2-0 lead is good enough to keep the trophy at least until the Ashes down under this winter, with two games left to play this summer......

Despite poor forecasts on the final day, there was enough play for Australia to take three early England wickets to leave the home supporters sweating, until the rain came in the afternoon to spoil the toursists chance of getting back into the series.

Thursday 1st August 2013 - Old Trafford - 3rd Ashes Test
