Why is it that people don't do what they say they will? I ordered 4 tickets for Anfield. There were 4 of us who wanted to go. The club told me it was official policy that there would only be one ticket per season ticket holder. Two of my group made alternate arrangements. The club sent me 3 tickets!
MATCH 4.

Why is it that people don't do what they say they
will? I ordered 4 tickets for Anfield. There were 4 of us who wanted to go. The club told me it was official policy that there would only be one ticket per season ticket holder. Two of my group made alternate arrangements. The club sent me 3 tickets!
Fantastic....
With one spare ticket I advertised on the fansite
message boards, I phoned the Yorkshire Mags, I even tried to flog it to strangers at the Zeljeznicar game. Then one of my mates (a Chesterfield fan!) said he'd have it. Great. At 3 'clock on the day of the game he said he had to work............
I didn't get rid of the ticket despite phoning
everyone I know. There was an empty seat at Anfield on Monday night and it wasn't my fault. The club box office will be hearing from me.
My life is a constant teetering on the edge of
domestic malfunction! You see my girlfriend Gill is a Liverpool fan. She loves "Sparkly Michael" and hates "Boy Man Riise's" chest! In her defence, she isn't just a glory fan. She does know her football (one of the many things that attracted me to her in the first place, obviously followed by being very pretty, fun to be with and an ability to hold her ale..).
Her and her mate had home tickets, me and my mate were obviously with the toon hordes. Separate cars were needed to preserve some semblance of domestic bliss. Apart from the fact that Gill's Fiesta didn't fancy the last hundred yards of the journey, the trip to Anfield was uneventful until I was greeted with my first taste of the famous Anfield atmosphere.
Don't get me wrong, it was merely pretty decent until their first goal. But the roar when treacherous German blinker's shot hit the net was impressive. Of course, the assembled Mags were giving it loads anyway.
To be honest, it wasn't until I got home at 1 am and watching the Sky Sports re-run, that I realised just how many clear cut chances Liverpool wasted. But like so many occasions last seasons, the boys in black in white just don't know when they are beaten. The return of Robert and the star man Bellamy in particular meant the home defence had a whole new range of problems to deal with and they didn't look comfortable with it.
Two quick fire goals (including a no-doubt
particularly sweet effort from Gary Speed) and Bobby's boys had pulled of another spectacular comeback. An especially memorable moment was Sir Bobby's "Saturday Night Fever" impression on the final whistle. Guess you had to see it to know what I mean.....
At the end of the day..Roll on dirty Leeds....
