Youngsters Andy Ferrell and Calvin Zola-Makongo will be released from Newcastle United at the end of the season, along with Brian Orr, who has been scouted by Burnley, Bradford City and Rotherham to name a few.

Youngsters Andy Ferrell and Calvin Zola-Makongo will be released from Newcastle United at the end of the season. Zola-Makongo is currently on-loan at Oldham and Ferrell was there earlier this season.

Andy Griffin is also out-of-contract, along with Tony Caig, Brian Kerr and Steve Caldwell.  Caldwell is at Leeds United on laon until the end of the season, and could well stay on permanently.

Brian Orr has also been told he can leave St James' Park at the end of the season.  His deal runs out next month and he will not be offered a new contract.

Steve Harper could also leave the club at the end of the season.  The Evening Chronicle reported that although he still has three years left on his contract, Newcastle have said that they will listen to any offers for the 'keeper.

He has been very patient this year, with Shay Given quite rightly earning the No. 1 shirt week in, week out, and will be allowed to leave.

Celtic have been linked with Harper, but Fulham are likely to make a move - especially if Edwin van der Sar is to move in the summer.
