Newcastle United at war, who loses then?

If there is indeed a rift between Chairman and Manager as the mirror suggests in this mornings edition, who will be the ultimate winner? Well the chairman of course, because Chairman always do, right or wrong they will always have the final say.

As a football manager once famously said on being told that the club wasn’t big enough for himself and the chairman, ‘Where you going then Mr Chairman? Ah no-where fair enough I’ll get my coat?’

But whoever wins is not the issue, it’s who loses that counts, and who is going to lose? Us that’s who. I am not one of these people that want Robson to go, you will hear no clamour for his head off me, but if its stopping us progressing and manager and chairman are indeed following two different agenda’s, then what is the point of following it for another season.

Of course at the moment this is mostly conjecture by the paper, but it does seam to have a smattering of truth in it, and very well might explain a few things.


We need a right Back, everyone agree on that? Good I will continue then, Sir Bobby identified 2 he wanted, we will get neither, because funds will not be released to cover them. We didn’t get a champions league place and Fred is out, shouting the odds to everyone that would listen, but where were the signings we needed last year Freddy? We might have got that place if your hand could find its bloody wallet occasionally Mr Chairman.

We are further than ever behind Arsenal and Manchester United, Bobby had done a great job of getting us close, but a complete lack of investment at the right time has cost us dear.

We keep hearing that we are the second richest club in the country, that we are on a sound financial footing? Well when was the last time 52,000 turned out to cheer a bloody tax return?

You want to win things Mr Chairman? You want Champions League?

Then get your bloody hand in your pocket, and give Sir Bobby what he bloody well needs. Or employ someone you do intend to back.
