The following are in response to last weeks comments by Mark Patterway about Spurs fans:
Afternoon,
Newcastle is in a very sorry state of affairs if Mark Patterway is an example of your finest young minds.
In reaction to that Spurs article, I, a Newcastle fan attending University in London would like to say that Spurs are stupid, fickle fans.
That's a sweeping generalisation now isn't it Mark. Another ill-conceived generalisation is that all women from Newcastle are dogs and that Newcastle fans are the best in the world (During the last week I've heard Newcastle, West Ham, Liverpool and Celtic fans all claim the same thing!)
The way that they will make fun of me round her is ridiculous.
They will make fun of you? Are you a budding Mystic Meg or does the university have an anti Geordie policy?
'round her'??? Your parents must be so proud that you failed GCSE English.
They laugh at everything that goes wrong with Newcastle
I bet you cried for hours when Sunderland were relegated , when Chelsea lost in the Cup and were knocked out of Europe, you must have been devastated when Spurs lost to Newcastle in the cup after two penalties were incorrectly turned down, etc…….. Everyone laughs at other teams woes so please grow up.
and any player we sign they say is useless.
Some are, some aren't. I would have liked Spurs to sign Parker but not for £60k a week.
Robbie Keane is too good for Newcastle apparently and that we are the deluded ones.
Again you are generalising as I for one don't think that RK is to good for Newcastle a I would like the work shy moaner to go, however I don't think that moving to Newcastle would be anything more than a sideways move - no matter how big your ground is! That is unless you think that the Intertoto cup means you're a great side.
Coming from fans who at one point believed they would sign Rivaldo – Ridiculous.
I could make a dig about 'coming from fans who believe that they will one day win a trophy' but that would be childish. What you might learn once you've lived a little in the real world is that papers print stories and sometimes they are true and sometimes they are false. Now some people will believe these stories, some will be sceptical and some will dismiss them out of hand but one thing remains true…. These things happen. Klinsmann to Spurs? Sol to Arsenal? Beckham to Real? Figo from Barca to Real? Kluivert to Newcastle? Woodgate to Real? Rio to Man U? These are just some of the transfers I wouldn't have though would happen so open up your mind a believe a little.
Regards
Marc
In reply to "Spurs Fans Are Fickle"...by Mark Patterway.....
Fickle....is that the same fickle as the Newcastle Fans are for slagging off Mr Keiron Dyer, booing him and oh yes...then giving him a standing ovation when he apologised anf had a "coming together" with Lee Bowyer....hmmm......i think we Spurs fans have a long way to go in the Fickle league!!!!
Regards
Neil Mackay...Spurs fan who goes to all matches home and away...before i get accused of just being "fickle" and picking the so called big games
I do feel that Newcastle are now in the position that Spurs were in 2 years ago when the media was doing their best to destroy the team. Newcastle fans are trying to gee up Tottenhams fans because they no longer see a good future for their own team. Souness is a terrible manager that does not have the respect of the players or fans, and the fickle Newcastle fans are sick of whinging about their own team so start on another , it is the football fans way (not just the geordies)
Come on the MIGHTY Spurs

I read the comments from a far-from-gruntled Newcastle fan called Mark. Spurs fans cannot be stupid if they support Spurs! That is a fact on a par with saying that the World is round. As regards being fickle, yes Spurs fans will moan like anyone else but are still prepared to support their club until death.

This is in response to Mark Deeks' GoodBye to Newcastle:
(I did not renew my reason ticket) Simply for all the same reasons as Mark, surprisingly it was not difficult when the renewal form came through as I had contemplated for some time throughout the season the time had come .The past season was nothing short of woeful and embarrassing very close to the Bill Mac Garry period that’s how empty it was and that was bad.
It would be interesting to find out how many of the over forties have thrown the towel in this season as they have been through the worst and yes some up’s however not to many. The only picture on my wall is the fairs cup team picture of 69, that tells the storey for me along with the old lady reminding me every year since we have been married, Why? I can’t and won’t at this point go into the past and current set up with Managers and Boards as it is a catalogue of disasters barring Sir Joe and to some extent Keegan and Sir John hall. I will however continue with my heart and support for the club but not with financial backing until sweeping changes are made at board level once a scrap man always scrap man.
The nephew will need to make his mind up weather they are worth investing in a season ticket as it is no longer free of charge I some how doubt the draw is that great now. Do you.

Although it is very suspect as to whether it is true or not, reports that Kieron Dyer will be earning £80k p/w sickened me. The man is not good enough to be one of the highest paid players in the Premiership, often shows a lack of respect for the club and his job, and is injured far too much to be put on such a deal. I hope that it was just some rubbish to waste paper space, as having Dyer on a £80k p/w deal would well and truly ensure that we are labelled a joke for years to come.
