Town manager Jim Magilton says Town deserved the win against league leaders Birmingham at Portman Road earlier today.

Jim: “On the balance of play I think we deserved the three points, it was a terrific effort by all the players and now we have to build on that performance over the second half of the season.

 

“We created a number of chances and looked incisive when we pushed forward.

 

“Billy Clarke came in and did a great job for us and it was the same with Matt Richards. I can't fault any one of them

 

“Birmingham are deservedly leaders but it shows that we can match any team in this division but the players need to show the belief.

 

“I have the belief and confidence in the players and now I want to see us turn in that sort of performance through the rest of the season.

 

“We matched West Brom on Saturday and have now have beaten the leaders and we have to take heart from that and push on.”
