Player Reaction: Cardiff

Reaction from Ipswich Town midfielders Owen Garvan and Jaime Peters following Towns 1-0 win over Cardiff Earlier today.

Owen Garvan: “I felt I played all right; the main thing was the result which we got and now we're joint top of the League! I know that there's a lot more to come from me. I was excited about making my debut; my family were all over from Ireland so that was good. Hopefully I can push on from here. I never really felt under pressure, I just stuck to my normal game and didn't worry about any distractions. It was a tight game but I felt we deserved to win in the end. We've got a tough game away to QPR on Tuesday and it would be nice to pick up another three points there - I'm looking forward to it - if selected!”

 

Jaime Peters: “I was really pleased to make my debut. I played at Dagenham on Wednesday and the coaches thought that I was match fit. I'm especially happy that we won and started off the season really well. The crowd made me very welcome and that really pleased me. I felt at home straight away and I'm really pleased that I signed for Ipswich. I felt that we played well today and we had opportunities to finish. It was a good start with a couple of new players and a young squad; the older more experienced players are really helping out the youngsters. It was a great start to the season.”
