Goodbye, and Good Luck - this year's womens squad departures
Ah, these season is one of goodbyes to some legends in our women’s squad. It’s never nice to say farewell and good luck, but it must be done unfortunately. We've reached the point where its fair to post a womens squad leavers article, and this year it's quite an emotional one. Having won the PWR though, we can at least say our leavers have gone on a high. I was going to do another piece separately for the joiners, but as far as I'm aware apart from maybe some academy players being promoted, we haven't signed anybody so will leave that for either further down the line or for a separate thread to be made about it.

CC1 Returns Essex at Home
We welcome Henry Nicholls to the squad for 6 games hot off a Test series and with a record we'd like to see him extend in Late August and September. He will not beomce our 60th opening bat in the CC1 as he is booked to enter at number 3 but we'd like to see a lot of him today as we have won the toss and will bat.

The last of the first phase games in thios year's 50 over competition. We face Lancashire and have the position of still being able to qualify IF we win AND Warks win AND Glos win AND neither of them do it with a better NRR than us. Winning is our only priority today. if the rest falls into place then we will cntinue. If they don't we'll assess a 4:4 record with all the wins at home and all the losses away. That is IF we win. Dutch GP: Atlassian Williams F1 Team Grand Prix Preview
Coming off the extended F1 break the Atlassian Williams F1 Team moves to the Dutch seaside circuit of Zandvoort. This circuit offers its own unique challenges but these are made even more so by the fact that this weekend is a Sprint format with its limited practice. For the Williams F1 Team they arrive with the encouraging news that Alex Albon will continue with the team in 2027. But aside from this, what with the challenges that the season so far has placed upon the team, it is far from certain as to how the Dutch weekend will play out. It is not expected to see any significant updates coming for this event so it will very much come down to what the team can achieve in terms of the setup of the FW48.

Hungarian GP: End to a tough weekend for Williams F1 Team
Sunday's race for the 2026 Hungarian GP would be a tough one for both Atlassian Williams F1 Team drivers with Alex Albon finishing 17th and Carlos Sainz 18th. For both drivers it was very much the case of getting the best out of what is still a very difficult 2026 car. For Alex his race marked his 100th for the Williams F1 Team so it was a shame that his race performance did not see him come away with a better result. For Carlos he would have a moment where he would make conatct with the McLaren of Piastri and he was been lapped. He would receive a penalty that would drop him down the order. Overall it was another tough weekend for the team and now with the summer F1 break it is hoped that the team can recover in the second half of the 2026 F1 season.

Hungarian GP: Tough qualifying for Williams F1 Team
In what has been described by both Atlassian Williams F1 Team drivers, Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, as a tough weekend the 2026 Hungarian GP weekend has seen both drivers struggle across all the practice sessions. And this would continue from practice and into qualifying with Carlos only managing 18th and Alex one place behind in 19th. It could only be described as one of the poorest results so far in 2026. Across their practice sessions and qualifying both drivers would complain of a car that was inconsistent in its ontrack behaviour. And to make it even more frustrating the team has been struggling to understand the reasons behind these issues. Such is the situation it is going to be a very tough race on Sunday for the team and drivers.
