SARRIES v SALE SHARKS: post match-related comments here
Sunday sees our first home game in the Gallagher Premiership and after last week’s unexpected win at Welford Road (we’d have lost that last year) I have to say I’m excited! Our opponents are Sale Sharks who didn’t have the best start to their campaign, losing at home to Bristol Bears. And after last years maulings (principally ta the hands of Noah Caluori) they can’t be relishing a trip to London.

REDEMPTION TIME: BATH V EXETER
Whoever drew up Bath’s fixtures for the start of the season clearly has an eye for a good story. 108 days after the most famous drop goal that never was, back we all go to The Rec for a repeat fixture against Exeter. Redemption time. Except, of course, not all victories are created equal. A win on Friday won’t make up for that expensive day out sitting on broken trains just to watch Saints beat Chiefs at Twickenham.

CC1 The Ultimate End Game - Surrey at Taunton Roll the Dice
The last game of the season, the only thing in our hands is whether we win the gsame or not. The points combinations after that are wide and varied. Us Warks or Notts take yer pick. All we can do is wortk with what we have and see how the chips fall. Surrey have won the toss and TKC comes in for Jake Ball and other than that it is the Leeds line-up. Off we go on the rollercoaster of the CC1!!

CC1 Penultimate End Game v Yorks in Leeds
And so we move into the end of the Championship. If we are to win this thing then this game will tell us what to do in the last home game next week. 3 games will effect the situation, we have control over only one as we meet Yorkshire at Headingley. Lewis Goldsworthy misses out to Archie Vaughan and Jake Ball is chosen instead of Josh Shaw. The rest of the side is the one that took Leicestershire down in 2 and a half days. Yorkshire won the toss and will take to the crease first.

Women's Metrobank 50 Surrey - Next 'Must Win'
The path to silverware comes like this. Beat Surrey today at the Oval. The beat Hampshire at Southamptonin the 'Eliminator' next Wednesday. Then beat Notts at the same place in the Final. Simples. The path starts today with a game in London. Win and we go on, lose and an excellent season ends at that point. Hope Springs eternal. Liv Barnes returns in stead of Jazz Westley today.

Bahrain GP: Atlassian Williams F1 Team Grand Prix Preview
In what is the second race of a triple header the Atlassian Williams F1 Team moves to the Sepang circuit in Malaysia to race the 2026 Bahrain GP. The race had to be relocated due to events in the Middle East so this will be the first time the Sepang track has been used since 2017. For the Williams F1 Team this is the second race with their upgrade and somewhat lighter FW48. The previous race in Azerbaijan had seen the upgraded chassis show some promise but the big test will be how it fares in another track of a very different nature. Hopefully the team can again secure a points result.

Azerbaijan GP: Race vindication for Williams F1 Team
The 2026 Azerbaijan GP would prove to be a successful one for the Atlassian Williams F1 Team with Carlos Sainz finishing the race in 10th achieving a single point result. The performances not only in the race but across the whole race weekend were in large part vindication of the massive effort that the team had put in to bring an upgraded FW48 to the event. The fact that the team was able to see a qualifying Q3 result as well as the point in the race showed that the updates that had being brought were working. Yes still a way to go to develop the new car but still so pleasing to see that the team is now back in the fight with the other midfield teams. Unfortunately the only negative aspect of the race was the DNF of Alex Albon who would crash into the barriers. Next stop Sepang where all being well the team will be able to again produce some noteworthy results.
