Players In, Players Out

Mark McGhee has altered the squad over the past few days. Changes have been made mainly for financial reasons, with Darren Currie being shipped out for £250,000.

Currie was sold to Ipswich for £250,000, a high return for the free transfer which he was taken into the club on at the start of the season.

In addition, Steve Claridge did not renew his one month contract, and has moved to Brentford for the rest of the season.

However, its not solely shipouts happening, as Mark McCammon has been taken in from Milwall on a loan deal for the next month at least.

There are rumours that two players will soon be arriving from Arsenals youth team on loan, as has been a tradition in recent years, with former Albion boss Liam Brady getting first team experience for some of his protoges at Arsenal.

Rumour has also been rife that Danny Cullip is leaving the club for Sheffield United, who have been agressively attempting to buy him over recent weeks. This is in addition to the interest in Daniel Harding expressed by Everton and Rangers. There is a risk that other clubs will attempt to take advantage of the clubs seriously weakened financial state to obtain players at a "fire-sale" price.
