Are we due for some success at Kingsholm? We will get a clue this weekend as the Cherry and Whites pop down to Chiefs for the Prem season opener. It's on the box-on Saturday with one of those 3.05 kick offs.

There's beem a lot of changes during the long hot summer including behind the scenes where George Skivington now has more support to allow him to concentrate on his head coach duties.

He now has Brett Deacon coaching the forwards and Joel Tomkins looking after defence. with some important new signings in the shape of Welshmen Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake who wil lead the side n his debut. There ill also be some grunt in the shape of new second-rows Joe Joyce and Jean Kleyn.

Both will be in the starting pack at Sandy Park and despite a lky of simmer de;partyrers there are some very familar names in the line-up including half-backs Caolan Englefield and Charlie Atkinson with Jack Clement, Lewis Ludlow, Dan Robson and George Barton all on the bench.
